PENAUDIO / Sonata Supreme

Sonata Supreme bases on Sonata Signature.

Sonata Supreme is using the same size cabinet that the Signature version uses. All the rest is different. We chose Seas latest driver technology to tune it even far more than even Signature does. Midranges are from Excel series. Cone is made of Graphene treated magnesium. High damping magnesium is the best material for woofer cones because of its damping properties, light weight, combined with the good sound speed which is due to the stiffness-to-weight ratio. This latest technology with the Graphene coating provides the ultimate in sound performance from some of the lightest and best damped materials available in the loudspeaker industry. As woofers we use the same customized 220 mm Seas Excel alu/mg drivers as we are using in Signature. Only difference (and rather big) comes from more high-quality cross-over components and fine tuning of cross-over matching perfectly to the midrange section.

Tweeter is also from Seas Excel line. Beryllium dome tweeter. It even goes further what comes to performance comparing excellent Seas Crescendo that we are using our Signature line. Being extremely stiff and lightweight combined with a powerful neodymium magnet system with short cut rings, that reduces non-linear and modulation distortion makes it a high-performance tweeter.

As for cross-over parts we chose after long listening sessions Mundorf Hepta Strand coils, MCap EvoSilverGoldOil capacitors and MResist Supreme resistors into the signal path. Woofer uses Mundorf MCoil BL`s.
